Gaming 2.0

I've been trying to get my Stream Machine up and running for the last year or two. It seems every corner I turn, Every step I take something happens or something comes up or issues arise that keep me from doing this.

I got a i7 Machine from a friend several months ago. Because I didn't know how old the Thermal Paste was on the CPU, I decided to remove the Heatsink, Clean up the CPU and Heatsink of the old Thermal Paste and apply NEW. Well it appeared that the CPU Socket had some issues of pins being raised above the other causing some issues. The PC never turned on nor booted into Windows. So this PC has been sitting for now, I'll have to do some Extensive work on it to try and reflow the solder on the CPU Socket to level these pins out to hopefully make contact with the motherboard and CPU.

Then another friend give me a PC to use as my "Stream Machine". It had an OLD AMD CPU in it, So decided to buy a Ryzen 5 4500 CPU to go in it, to update it with a 6 Core CPU. So I Install the CPU, Try booting up the system. Didn't get no Video, Turns out I had to Update the BIOS to accept the NEW CPU. So put the OLD CPU back in, it booted just fine, So downloaded and updated the BIOS to accept the NEW CPU I got, Took out the OLD CPU and Installed the NEW CPU and it worked fine.

Got OBS installed and a few other things on it I needed to use to Stream. Recording of videos and streaming trial run worked great, NO Issues with Rendering Lag or anything. But I did have a problem with Audio, there were no Audio Playback on the machine including mic recording so downloaded the audio drivers and updated those. I got a Blue Screen after rebooting. And the system fucked up from the update. Got no video, got no audio, got NOTHING.

So toyed around with the machine for a few days, then took a few days off, Still having issues with this machine. I've came to the conclusion that my Motherboard Fried somehow.

So fastfoward to yesterday, I purchased another Motherboard and a GPU (Video Card), I'll be salvaging Parts from both machines to get it up and running, this'll save money on having to buy NEW Memory and HDD (Hard Drives) for the Stream Machine right now. The memory from the i7 is the right size and speed and will work fine and the NEW CPU I put in the AMD Board will work fine.

So, Now once the parts come in, I just have to build the Machine, get it up and running and hopefully by the end of the week I'll be able to get on and start streaming.

The other half will be for upgrading equipment for the stream to put back into it.

4.26.2025 AMVETS 24 hr Watch Fire.

Saturday (4.26.2025) AMVETS Post #23 (Hartford City, IN) had the Starting of the Fire for our Watchfire Event to Honor the Fallen. Video Below is 12 minutes long.

This tradition is to honor all of our fallen Heroes who lost their lives in battle. We honor them by keeping this fire going for 24 hours without letting it go out. Friends and Family that gather to watch this event has the ability to Honor those family or friends that has served and lost their lives doing so by putting a long on the fire in their memory.

We also perform a Flag Retirement Ceremony where we Burn the Tattered and Worn-out Flag. This was done on (4.27.2025). Video is a little over 13 minutes long.

On 4.27.2025 we closed out the Watchfire event with putting out the fire after honoring all of those who served that has fallen. Video is a little over 8 minutes long.

All 3 Videos together is roughly about 30 minutes long. I hope you enjoyed the long standing tradition of honoring our fallen as well as the Flag Retirement Ceremony. All Flags that are retired, they do NOT touch the ground, The ashes of the retired flags are gathered and put in a place that never touches the ground.

RIP to our Fallen Soldiers.

Roof Funds

 Hello everyone. just wanted to give an update on the Roof situation.

I been going through Hoosier Contractors for my Roof. They were able to get insurance to pay for the NEW Roof. So we now Officially have a NEW roof on our house.

The problem we are experiencing now is that Insurance did NOT cover the whole roof 100% and I was afraid of this. So I'm calling out to everyone with a sincere heart and asking for some donations and shares. The balance left on the final bill was $2,200 and it's going to be VERY hard for us to swing the payments monthly for this, Living on Fixed income for us both, Me and my Wife, ALL of our funds are tied up in bills and payments of every kind and our funds are exhausted monthly, it's not easy to make ends meet being on fixed income.

So I'm asking that if you can NOT donate, PLEASE share to get the word out for potential donations. Every dollar helps and if this were to be shared 2,200 times and 1 person donated a dollar, I'd get what i needed in donations to cover the final bill for our roof. So please consider at least sharing. Living on fixed income and having to have a major repair really SUCKS big time for homeowners that are disabled. New Roof Fundraiser

 We've been fighting with Insurance to help replace our roof and to NO Avail, They refuse to pay to have our roof repaired because they said that it wasn't damaged by the Elements, that it was damaged by time and it was OLD.

So with this being said, I'm throwing a Fundraiser to try and help us pay for materials (Metal Roofing) so we can get a new roof put up over top of the shingles, We are looking into a Metal Roof for longevity and durability so we won't have to worry about it for another 30+ years. If this roof is as old as they think that it is, it's best to replace now, we've got some leaking inside so we NEED to get this fixed, My Goal is to have the money before winter so we can get things rolling.

 Many of my followers may not know about me being Wheelchair bound. Then again, I have made a post a few years ago stating I was in a wheelchair or maybe about my accident.

I don't generally ask for handouts; I try to help others as much as possible and expect nothing in return. I just enjoy being that Kindhearted man that helps out someone that may be in need.

Exceeded our Quota!

 

From our Endevour into the 30 Hours of Gaming Challenge, We've went from 16.21 hours on Day One, to 156 hours on Day 6.

Still today and all day tomorrow to get some more game time in. Along our journey we had another Teammate join in on the Gaming Challenge to help us achieve our goal of 150 hours total for 5 people on the team. Unfortunately, 1 member became sick and had trouble logging in some hours, So our other teammates stepped up and has logged more hours in to get our quota and MORE. So we've achieved our goal of 150 hours and more with still almost 2 days left of game time. We've spread the word of #StopSoldierSuicide with the gaming event, so hopefully this'll bring #SuicideAwareness and #SuicidePrevention to #SuicidePrevenion2023 .

We need to support our #Troops / #Veterans anytime we can as they've done things that we could not. They fought for our nation, They fought for our "Freedom", something that we weren't capable of doing. They Deserve our Respect.

I'd like to take the time to apologize for not blogging anything lately. Health has been a major issue for me lately the last few years. Seem to always be feeling bad which in turn I don't feel like doing much writing.

The reason for this blog today is we just recently had to have our Furnace Serviced, The Gas Valve went out on it and we just received our bill, and I about shit myself.

Being disabled and low income it's going to be VERY Difficult to make this payment, so I'm calling out to all of my followers and hope I can get some help here and maybe share this blog with someone else that will consider any amount.

I'm trying to raise only about $250 for the bill is all, nothing more and this is truly what it will go towards. I have no reason to take money from anyone and put it towards things i do not need at all.

Cross-Bred (Cross-Pollination)

I've been a big gardener from as long as I could remember. It's something I enjoyed and something I can do well with the use of my hands and arms and not so much with my feet.  Being in a wheelchair I can just roll around my garden and get things done from weeding to planting.

Earlier in the year, I bought some plants for my garden, I've also started some plants from seeds as well.  Well, what I did, is started some from seeds first, and when some of them went south I just bought some plants cause I didn't think what I started would survive. If you refer to a previous post about my 28w LED Grow lights, you'll hear about my success of using those Grow lights.

The plants I bought were Hillbilly Tomatoes, Watermelon Beefsteak Tomatoes and Trip-L Crop Tomatoes along with Ghost Pepper Peppers, Trinidad Scorpion Peppers, Jalapeno Peppers and Tobasco Peppers.

My Tobasco Plants had 2 Starts in 1 pot, so last week I separated them into different pots cause I was afraid that both plants would be competing for water and one would eventually die out. So I separated those plants.

In the process of separating these plants, 1 of them had buds growing on them already. My Ghost pepper plant has been getting tons of buds this year so far. So I thought that, well hell, all kinds of peppers are cross-pollinated to get a different pepper. And what fun would it be to do this at home.

So I took the leap. I cut the Male part off from around the Stemilus so it would not pollinate its self and make a Tobasco pepper, and I dusted on the Pollen from the Ghost Pepper Plant.

Today going out and looking at my Tobasco Plant, the pedals fell off and a small pepper is growing, I'm so excited to see the end results. Of course, I won't be able to see it until I plant the offspring of that pepper because I'll have to harvest the seeds and plant those seeds and see what I get from those seeds.

That is if The Pepper fully develops into a pepper. So in the mean time, It's just a waiting game. Sorry, there is no photos for this, but I will be posting once I harvest the pepper and I start growing them to see what I can get from them.

28w LED Grow Lights

I don't know about any of Y'all that view my blog and read all the off the wall shit I post. Sometimes there are many views and sometimes there aren't that many that look at my blog or read it.

Even so, less or more readers are Ok with me either way, it's just a Journal for me to share different things that occur for me at the spur of the moment or even planned.

This post is about LED Grow lights. I don't know if any of Y'all are gardeners or not, but this is one of my favorite past times I look forward to during the summer months. It gets me outside, it helps with some Physical Therapy, being disabled and in a wheelchair, this helps me keep my hands active to keep strength and dexterity in them.

So, here's the thing, where I live, I have 1 west window which is the only one in the house that gets a little sun in the latter part of the evening. Not merely enough to keep seedlings growing. Matter fact the lack of sun is not good for seedlings. They need the sun to grow.

Well, I've decided to break down and purchase a few things I wanted to try out. I got a Clamp Lamp and some 28w LED Grow Light Bulbs.

I've had seedlings growing for about a month and good amount. 72 Cells full of Tomatoes and Different peppers. Most of them died but probably 12 peppers and 5 or 6 tomatoes.

I have a Heating mat I let my seeds sit on to get the heat they need to germinate, once germinated, they go in the window or a source of light so they can grow during the early spring so they can be planted in late spring.

Well, as I mentioned before, I have a lack of sun in the west window, so I purchased these items. You would never believe the success of these lights.

My plants are 6 weeks old almost 7 weeks. As soon as I put on these lights for an artificial sun, they all perked up and started growing.

All the plants went from around 1 inch to about 4 to 5 inches with all their second leaves and growing more and more. Just in 2 weeks, they have sprouted vigorously. I've very very impressed with these lights. For now on, when I get things going next year, I'll have a better outcome to my garden, I used to buy plants and this would cost me a large amount which is Ok to a point cause I can every year.

But now, I'll save even more money by just getting seeds and potting soil. I can use the seeds from this year's harvest for next year's growth. So pretty much self-sustaining seeds from all the plants no need to buy any more seeds.

But anyway, I just wanted to tell you how much a success these grow lights were and I'd recommend them to anyone that don't have significant lighting in their house and don't have a greenhouse. These lights can be fund on eBay Right here -> 28w LED Lighting They are around $14 bucks for a set of 4 which is an excellent deal.

Cotton Fire

My Cotton caught fire when I was pulsating it to use up the juice in the cotton so I could change it, I hate having sticky fingers from the juice, Yes I know I can wash my hands but that's beside the point, I like to dry the cotton out first.
